In it, the leaders offer the collaboration of the business community, to help solve some of the city’s pressing problems in the wake of COVID-19. They also express confidence in New York’s resiliency and vibrancy as a unique center of global commerce, and support for any efforts to restore it to pre-pandemic stature.
Leaders of companies like Goldman Sachs and JetBlue implored Mayor Bill de Blasio to take more decisive action to halt the city’s decline. More than 150 business leaders in New York City joined together on Thursday to warn Mayor Bill de Blasio that he needed to take more decisive action to address crime and other quality-of-life issues that they said were jeopardizing the city’s economic recovery.
