Joel joined BBR Partners in 2025 and is a Director of Data Platforms, leading implementation and design of data platforms and data solutions throughout BBR.

Joel has substantial experience in architecting Big Data solutions, with deep expertise in modern data technologies and data engineering practices. Prior to joining BBR, Joel held positions as data engineering leadership at Hinge, Squarespace, and 1010data. As Director of Data Engineering at Hinge, he scaled the data engineering department and led multiple strategic initiatives that were pivotal in setting up Hinge’s data capabilities for success.

Joel holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.

Joel lives in South Orange, NJ with his wife, son, and dog. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring the latest in tech and dabbles in aviation, guitar, and home improvement.
